Snowfall of 1 to 2 inches fell over most of the county, with 3 inches near the far southern end of the county.

Wider weather episode

An area of low pressure over the northeast Gulf and off the southeast coast of the United States tracked off the coast of the Carolinas. This system combined with Arctic air brought snowfall across the Piedmont and northern Coastal Plain and freezing rain over the Sandhills to southern Coastal Plain.
