Local radio manager for KCSR reported a storm total of 8.3 inches of snow in Chadron Nebraska.

Wider weather episode

A stationary cold front and potent Pacific upper level trough over the northwestern Nebraska Panhandle combined and produced some of the heaviest snowfall totals so far this winter. Major impacts were mainly confined to Sioux and Dawes Counties.
