Visibility of an eighth of a mile was reported in Madera.

As the large upper trough which brought widespread precipitation to central California between March 12 and March 14 moved east of the region, high pressure shifted inland and brought clearing skies and decreased winds to the San Joaquin Valley. This resulted in areas of dense fog forming near sunrise which continued at some locations until late morning when the fog dissipated and mixed out with daytime heating taking place.
