Wider weather episode

A moisture deficient upper trough pushed through central California on March 28. While Precipitation amounts were minimal from this system, it did produce an increased onshore pressure gradient which resulted in gusty winds across the mountains and deserts of Kern County with several stations measuring gusts between 45 and 65 mph on March 28 as the trough moved across the area.
