Event narrative

Wind gusts to near 60 mph caused minor damage across the county. Power lines were downed on Pear Tree Road and a light pole was downed on Highway 47.

Wider weather episode

A strong storm system developing across the region led to strong southeasterly winds. While severe thunderstorms also developed during the evening, these strong winds occurred in advance of the thunderstorms during the afternoon. Reports of minor damage to trees and structures were received across the region.
