Lilac 2 brush fire along I-15 southbound burned 100 acres. Started at 1230 am. At 3 am relative humidity was as low as 6 percent and Santa Ana winds gusting to 24 mph. Evacuation orders issued for homes on the ridge.
Wider weather episode
Several wildfires in brush and very dry vegetation in mid to late January 2025. Santa Ana winds and record dry fuel contribution to the fire growth.
