A brief period of light snow developed across the North Carolina Piedmont during the late afternoon and early evening. Accumulations were mostly around a half inch or less, although isolated locations received around an inch. Warm surfaces resulted in mainly wet roads, but a few slick spots and accidents developed, mainly on bridges and overpasses.
