Light snow showers impacted Northumberland County beginning during the evening of February 20, 2025 and into the early morning hours of February 21. While snow accumulation on roadways was minor, a tractor trailer travelling on State Route 54 in Coal Township rolled over just prior to 1:00 am.

Deepening upper-level low moving across central Pennsylvania with ample forcing ahead of this feature allowed for snow showers to occur across central Pennsylvania during the day on February 20, 2025. Enhanced westerly flow in the wake of the system moving east of the area allowed for snow bands to continue into the early morning hours of February 21st. An accident in Northumberland County from snow showers during the early morning hours of February 21st occurred, closing the roadway for multiple hours.
