Lake effect snow accumulated between 7 and 15 inches.

Wider weather episode

A departing upper level disturbance led to the development of flow from the west-northwest off of Lake Ontario and resulting lake effect snowfall for mainly Oneida County. Lake effect snow started during the evening of Sunday, the 9th, and continued into Monday before lifting north and tapering off Monday evening. Snowfall rates reached 1 to 2 inches per hour Sunday evening when a multi-lake connection developed.
