Lake effect snow accumulated between 4 and 23 inches.

A cold front crossed the area during the afternoon of Thursday, the 13th, and a strong flow from the west-northwest occurred in its wake. Lake effect snow developed downwind of Lake Ontario Thursday night and continued into Friday before starting to lift off to the north Friday afternoon and evening. With a multi-lake connection developing and mostly uniform winds at the lower levels late Thursday evening into early Friday, heavy snow fell at times over Oneida, Madison and Onondaga counties. Winds gusted between 30 and 45 mph at times leading to areas of blowing and drifting snow.
