The Hogg Pass SNOTEL at 4800 ft recorded 12 inches of snowfall between 0300 1/31 and 1300 01/31 with 12 inches hit 1300 01/31, and the Bear Grass SNOTEL at 4720 ft recorded 14 inches of snowfall between 0200 1/31 and 1800 02/01 with 12 inches hit 0100 02/01.

Wider weather episode

A strong cutoff low and accompanying frontal boundary dug southward into the region from off the coast of British Columbia bringing heavy snowfall to portions of the Oregon Cascades. The post frontal showers were also strong enough to produce a funnel cloud in Linn County on Feb 1st.
