Cascade Summit SNOTEL at 5100 ft recorded 12 inches of snowfall between 0000 01/31 and 0700 02/01.

Wider weather episode

A strong cutoff low and accompanying frontal boundary dug southward into the region from off the coast of British Columbia bringing heavy snowfall to portions of the Oregon Cascades. The post frontal showers were also strong enough to produce a funnel cloud in Linn County on Feb 1st.
