Event narrative
A trained Spotter measured 0.25 inches of storm total flat ice accumulation 2 miles SE of Blodgett 1000 02/14 which is right along the boarder of OR-Z107. There was another Trained spotter report 5 miles NW of Cheshire who measured 0.1 of radial ice, which is about 0.25 flat ice equivalent, also near the boarder of OR-Z107 at 0730 2/14.
Wider weather episode
Abnormally cold conditions were in place early on February 13th as widespread precipitation increased across the region south to north due to the arrival of a warm-frontal boundary. This overrunning scenario led to a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain impacting much of western Oregon through February 14th.
