A strong upper-level system passed across the central Plains. This system clipped portions of south-central South Dakota with some snow and very strong winds. The most impactful snowfall was across Tripp County and eastern parts of Mellette and Todd counties, where amounts up to 6 inches, along with wind gusts to over 50 mph, produced very low visibility and near blizzard conditions due to blowing snow.
