An NWS employee measured 3 inches of snowfall 1 mile WNW of Sylvan at 0900 on 2/14, and a member of the Public measured 3.5 inches of snowfall 2 miles WNW Sylvan at 0830 on 2/14.

Abnormally cold conditions were in place early on February 13th as widespread precipitation increased across the region south to north due to the arrival of a warm-frontal boundary. This overrunning scenario led to a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain impacting much of western Oregon through February 14th.
