A trained spotter 3 miles W of Adair Village measured 0.13 inches of ice on the ground with 2 inches of snowfall as well at 0700 2/14. LSRs from the afternoon of 2/13 indicated around 1-2 inches of snowfall fell across the forecast zone before the transition to freezing rain by 2/14.
Wider weather episode
Abnormally cold conditions were in place early on February 13th as widespread precipitation increased across the region south to north due to the arrival of a warm-frontal boundary. This overrunning scenario led to a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain impacting much of western Oregon through February 14th.
