A trained spotter 5 miles NW of Cheshire measured 0.10 inches of radial ice and 0.25 inches of flat ice at 0730 02/14, and a member of the public measured 0.31 inches of storm total ice accumulation at 0800 2/14.
Wider weather episode
Abnormally cold conditions were in place early on February 13th as widespread precipitation increased across the region south to north due to the arrival of a warm-frontal boundary. This overrunning scenario led to a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain impacting much of western Oregon through February 14th.
