Snowfall across the northern part of the county ended up in the 5 to 7 inch range with lesser amounts across the remainder of the county. A high report of 8 inches was recorded in Kabetogama.

Wider weather episode

A weak area of low pressure passed to the south of the International Border on the 17th bringing light snowfall to parts of the Northland. Some enhanced snowfall was observed in the vicinity of the International Border in northern Koochiching and northern St. Louis counties. Snowfall amounts ended up in the 5 to 7 inch range in those areas with a high report of 8 inches in Kabetogama.
