Two injured after seven-vehicle crash amidst heavy fog in the area.

Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries following a seven-vehicle chain reaction crash near Aransas Pass just at the start of the New Year, according to the Texas DPS. The incident occurred around 7:50 a.m. on Highway 35 amidst dense fog, which authorities believe contributed to the severity of the crash. A 19-year-old man driving a 2012 Chevy Impala lost control and hit a guardrail, leaving his vehicle disabled in the roadway. A 17-year-old woman driving a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 then collided with the Impala, disabling her truck. Several other vehicles were involved in subsequent collisions.
