A trained spotter measured 3.5 inches of snow at 1800 2/13 with local storm reports indicating 2-3.5 inches of snowfall across the forecast zone. Additionally, due to the snow there was a 22 vehicle collision, involving multiple commercial vehicles & passenger cars in Lewis & Cowlitz Counties. 6 people were transported to 3 area hospitals.

Abnormally cold conditions were in place early on February 13th as widespread precipitation increased across the region south to north due to the arrival of a warm-frontal boundary. This overrunning scenario led to a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain impacting much of western Oregon through February 14th.
