The Smyrna Airport AWOS measured a 60 mph thunderstorm wind gust.

Scattered thunderstorms impacted Middle Tennessee during the afternoon hours of April 10, 2025. With plenty of instability and wind shear, the ingredients were there for these thunderstorms to strengthen. The main hazard with these thunderstorms was damaging winds with numerous reports of downed trees received. A few reports of large hail were also received with the largest being golf ball size hail near Portland.
