A strong spring storm system moved across southern portions of the region, bringing areas of heavy snow to southwest and south-central South Dakota. Amounts of 5 to 10 inches were reported across much of these areas, resulting in minor to moderate impacts to travel. Snowfall amounts tapered off to the north and west of these areas.
