Event narrative

Light snow in lower elevations of northern Sevier County, most locations reported 2 inches of snow between Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. The highest report of 4 inches of snow came from a location outside of Pigeon Forge on one of the local knobs, at a higher elevation than the valley floor.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front ushered in an initial burst of snow on the backside of the front, followed by several hours of highly banded northwest flow snow showers. The heaviest accumulations occurred at significant elevations.
