Snow squalls briefly produced heavy snow with visibilities of around a quarter mile...along with wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph.

Wider weather episode

Snow squalls accompanied an upper level disturbance and cold front, which crossed the region during the morning of the 7th. The fast moving snow squalls intensified across southern Piscataquis county. These snow squalls then rapidly moved across Downeast areas...including the Bangor region...through the late morning. Visibilities briefly dropped to around a quarter mile in heavy snow, with wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph.
