Snowfall ranged from 5 to 8 inches across the county. Though no reports were received from the county, nearby observations in Hertford county to the west and Camden county to the east showed significant snowfall fell over the county.

Wider weather episode

A significant winter storm occurred over the Mid-Atlantic February 19-20 2025. Arctic 1050mb high pressure built into the area early on the 19th. Two mid level disturbances began to phase over eastern North Carolina with periods of heavy snowfall featuring 1 to 2 inch per hour snowfall rates. Very cold temperatures resulted in mostly snow across the region, though some sleet did mix in near the Albemarle Sound. Snow totals ranged from around 5 inches for areas west of Interstate 95 to 14 inches in Currituck County.
