Winter Storm — Madison, Ohio

2025-01-05 to 2025-01-06 · Madison, Ohio

Event narrative

In Mt. Sterling, 9 inches of snow was measured. Two CoCoRaHS observers around London both measured 6.5 inches, and lesser amounts fell in the northern sections of the county.

Wider weather episode

A low pressure system crossed east through the Ohio Valley as very cold air was entrenched over the region. Warm air ahead of the system overlapped with deep moisture to create a significant band of snow that immobilized the region along and north of the Ohio River.
