A wind gust of 51 knots (59 MPH) was measured by the AWOS at Greater Cumberland Regional Airport (KCBE). There were at least a dozen reports of trees blown down across far northern Mineral County.

Wider weather episode

A small but intense bowing mesoscale convective system (MCS) tracked rapidly across northern Maryland during the evening hours, producing widespread and significant straight-line wind damage.
