Surrounding reports and temperatures indicate a light glaze of ice occurred, as well as a dusting of sleet and snow. No freezing rain measurements were received, however surrounding reports suggest ice amounts were less than 0.1. CoCoRaHS reports mention freezing rain.

Wider weather episode

A quick moving wintry system brought a light glaze of ice to the higher elevations of northern New Jersey. The precipitation began as a mix of slight snow and sleet in some areas in the evening of the 12th before changing to freezing rain or rain and ending by the morning of the 13th.
