SC Department of Public Safety reported trees and powerlines down in the roadway at Cascade Drive and Grass Patch Road.

Wider weather episode

A strong upper trough approached the region with an accompanying cold front on March 31st. Preceding the front, the forecast environment featured moderate instability and strengthening wind shear. Some bowing segments within a broken line of convection in the afternoon produced damaging winds and a supercell developed just ahead of the main line in eastern Orangeburg County which produced very large hail (up to 1.75 inches).
