Moisture associated with a deepening surface low surged northward ahead of the trough. Snow started across the region during the late afternoon and evening, covering the entire area by midnight and then lingered into Saturday morning. A few northwest flow snow showers lingered into the afternoon and evening, but added little additional snow. Snow totals in eastern Ohio generally reached the two to four inch range overall.
