Mesonet station 2 miles west of Gering Nebraska reported a few gusts of 62 mph.

Wider weather episode

After a brief lull in the winds, even stronger winds developed mainly across the Interstate 80 corridor from southeast Wyoming into the southern Nebraska Panhandle early morning on March 14th. Strong gusty winds were observed further north as well.
