Wider weather episode

The latest in this series of winter storms impacted the Sierra Feb 3rd through the 5th. This system had lower snow levels, continued strong winds, and flooding concerns across northwest Lassen County. Forecast guidance showed a strong winter storm lasting to the night of 4th until the morning of the 5th. Threats with this storm include strong winds to 60 mph on some valley floors of western NV with blowing dust possible in some basin and Range locations and choppy lake conditions. Heavy mountain snow brought impacts over mountain passes, and valley rain allowed for some possible flooding in portions of Plumas and Sierra counties in addition to the minor flood impacts along the Susan River at Susanville, California.
