Reports from both Fairfield and Oxford indicated that 2.5 inches of snow fell. Two inches was measured by the CoCoRAHs observer west of Fairfield, and the observer west of Franklin measured 1.4 inches.
Wider weather episode
During the morning of February 16th, as a cold front moved through the Ohio Valley, quickly changing heavy rainfall to snow. As temperatures fell, many areas received a quick 2 to 3 inches of snow, with some isolated locations receiving up to 4 inches.
