Event narrative

High winds combined with 1 to 4 inches of snow caused massive travel problems in the Upper Snake River Plain. Idaho Falls recorded a 64 mph wind on ASOS with 60 mph at Ucon and 58 mph at Osgood. A vehicle crash on interstate 14 north of Osgood blocked southbound lanes at 6 AM. In Rexburg, by 3 pm, Pole line Rd was closed from S 5th W to Millhollow Rd due to strong winds. Four miles south of Plano, Idaho Highway 33 closed at 315 pm from S 5000 W to S 4000 W due to a crash involving a semi trailer with a power pole.
