Mesonet station XMAPV Minneapolis Shoal measured a few southerly to southeasterly storm force wind gusts to 64 mph around 8 AM Gusts fell below gales from about 9 AM to 4 PM before frequent gusts to around 55 mph out of the north to northwest continued through about 10 PM on the 28th.

A strong low pressure tracking from northwest Ontario to the eastern UP through the day on the 28th resulted in frequent storm force gusts over the Bay of Green Bay.
