The Touchet Snotel site measured 11 inches of new snow in a 26 hour period ending at 0600 Feb. 1st.

Wider weather episode

A strong and moist westerly flow aloft January 31st into February 1st resulted in enhanced orographic lift into the Northern Blue Mountains, with heavy snow accumulations occurring across portions of these mountains.
