On the evening on February 19, extreme cold pushed into all of eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Wind chills fell into the 30 to 45 below 0 range. One fatality occurred in Omaha, where an 86 year old woman was found dead in a garage due to suspected cold exposure.
