Montana mesonet station Mt Lebanon SE measured a 66 mph wind gust and high sustained winds.

A break down in the upper-level ridge brought strong mid-level winds and a strengthening pressure gradient across the Continental Divide. This brought strong surface winds to the Rocky Mountain Front, with these winds spreading out further east over time.
