The Bear Grass SNOTEL at 4720 ft recorded 16 inches of snow between 2100 3/12 and 1700 3/13 with 12 inches hit 0600 3/13.
Wider weather episode
An upper level trough moved into the Pacific Northwest enhancing ongoing shower activity and lowering snow levels. This allowed for heavy snow to fall across portions of the Oregon Cascades.
