Light snow was recorded across Anderson County, with CoCoRaHS observers reporting 1.6 inches of snow in Norris, 1.1 inches and 1.2 inches of snow in Oak Ridge. Additionally the public reported 1.2 inches of snow in Oak Ridge.

Wider weather episode

A baroclinic cyclone originating near the Gulf and moving by to Tennessee's south, combined with a strong upper level jet, provided for two rounds of snow across East Tennessee.
