Light snow fell in Bledsoe County, CoCoRaHS observers reported 2.5 inches of snow in southwestern Bledsoe and 2 inches of snow in Graysville. The COOP observer in Pikeville measured 1.6 inches of snow.

Wider weather episode

A baroclinic cyclone originating near the Gulf and moving by to Tennessee's south, combined with a strong upper level jet, provided for two rounds of snow across East Tennessee.
