Severe (D2) drought conditions persisted across most of western Cherry County through the end of February. Across far northwestern portions of western Cherry County, extreme (D3) drought conditions continued through the end of the month.

Wider weather episode

Moderate (D1) drought conditions expanded slightly over portions of southwestern Nebraska in February. Across the remainder of western and north central Nebraska, drought conditions remained unchanged through the end of the month.
