Alachua County EM High Springs Fire

WeatherSTEM measured 4.57 inches of rainfall

for this event. About 2 inches fell between

1 PM and 2 PM. At 245 PM, the High Springs

Fire Department reported minor flooding in

the low lying areas near, and south of

US-441 and US-27 which is typical for the

area.

Wider weather episode

A warm front lifted northward across the area in the morning with a diurnally unstable airmass in it's wake over NE FL in the afternoon as a short wave mid level trough approached from the west. Sea breeze and boundary mergers produced locally heavy rainfall and isolated gusty winds in the strongest storms.
