Event narrative
The tornado that developed in Shawano County near Matoon at 10:02 pm CDT crossed the Menominee County line at 10:09 pm CDT. The tornado tracked northeast through western Menominee County before lifting at 10:10 pm CDT. The tornado produced damage to some trees along the path. Total path length is estimated to be 6.25 miles long, with a width of 65 yards. Peak wind estimated to be around 80 mph.
