A CDOT weather station near Sterling along I-76 reported 2 peak wind gusts of 59 mph.

The following highways are closed all the way to the Kansas border due to weather conditions: I-70, US-385, US-40/287, Us-24, CO-94, CO-86, CO-59, CO-71. Parts of I-25 were closed last night in Douglas county due to blowing snow. Multiple crashes involving semi-trucks, and many spun-out-vehicles. Elbert Count School District 200 closed for Wednesday. At least 8 other school districts in eastern Colorado had a delayed start of 2 hours. Thousands are without power due to strong winds.
