Event narrative

Heavy rain caused a few road closures in Jefferson County. One road closure was near Regina on Missouri BB and Regina Road. Here, downed power poles were reported. The other was near Imperial around US Highway 61/67 and Scott Lane/Mill Creek Drive/Montebello Road.

Wider weather episode

A stationary front over southern Missouri along with ample mid-level forcing, moisture, and efficient rain processes resulted in flooding across portions of east-central and southeast Missouri. Numerous roads across the St. Louis metropolitan area were impassable due to the heavy rainfall.
