A deep trough over the Midwest and surface low near the Great Lakes brought a robust cold front into the Mid Atlantic region. A strongly-forced area of linear convection moved from west to east across portions of the lower Maryland Eastern Shore. These storms produced strong to severe straight line wind gusts.
