Event narrative

Social media pictures showed damaged wooden/metal buildings (side of one collapsed, the other partially collapsed and lifted off of its foundation), a bent metal tower, and a wooden structure housing tractors destroyed.

Wider weather episode

Thunderstorms formed near and behind a slow moving cold front as an upper trough worked its way through the Plains. Storms produced a combination of large hail and very intense damaging winds up to 85-90 mph. One person was killed in Ellis County when the RV he was in was blown over and rolled several times.
