Up to four inches of snow was reported across the county, with the highest amounts over the northeast part of the county. Wind gusts of 60 MPH or greater occurred from 10:30 PM through 11 AM the next day. The highest wind gust reported was 59 MPH at 10:53 AM at the Burlington airport. Some highways were closed due to the blizzard.

A winter storm system moved across Eastern Colorado, beginning during the evening of the 18th. Rain changed to snow as winds turned from the northwest to the north and increased. This led to blizzard conditions moving in from the west. Snowfall amounts ranged from trace to around four inches, with the highest amounts in Yuma County. Wind gusts up to 74 MPH were reported, with the highest gust occurring near Kit Carson. Ground blizzard conditions persisted after the snow ended. Some highways were shut down due to the blizzard.
