Numerous roadways across Washington County were deemed impassable due to floodwater. Nearby communities to these roadways include Nashville, Okawville, Lively Grove, Saint Libory, Addieville, Hoyleton, Covington, New Minden, Venedy, Beaucoup, and Wamac. Over the duration of the event, up to 7 inches of rain fell. At times, rain rates were in excess of 2 inches per hour.

A stationary front over southern Missouri along with ample mid-level forcing, moisture, and efficient rain processes resulted in flash flooding across portions of southwest and south central Illinois.
